Well-known craft beer brewery Beavertown continues their cultural showcase in the Irish Capital this evening with hot prospects Cardinals, Chameleon, and DJ Beks performing at Whelan’s in Dublin tonight.
The three acts are performing as part of Beavertown’s Soundtrack Stories, which is inspired by Ireland’s pub storytelling culture. So to put a twist on this event, guests will be invited to jump in and help shape the night as it happens.
Aside from the live performances, both Cork band Cardinals and hip hop artist Chameleon, will be sharing the inspirations behind their music.
“Songs can mean completely different things to different people, and I think that’s what makes them interesting. You can write something from one place, then someone else can take it and attach it to a memory, a person or a moment that means something completely different to them.
“That relationship people have with music is really personal. The idea of bringing those stories into a room and sharing them feels like a good way to spend a night.”
Euan Manning, Cardinals,
Hosted by Dublin comedians Meg Reilly and Ross McCarney, the event invites attendees to share the opening line of their stories upon arrival. If chosen, they can take the mic and tell the rest. The audience provides the stories, and the house band supplies the soundtrack.
Of course, as the title of the event suggests, those in attendance can also avail of a crisp pint of Neck Oil, Beavertown’s popular Session IPA, just in case they are feeling thirsty.
Tickets priced at €10 are available from Eventbrite with all proceeds going to Music Network.
This is an over-18s event. Please enjoy Neck Oil responsibly.
