Sylvan Esso will release their first new album in four years later this year, as new single ‘On & On’ gives us another taster of what is to come.
Titled “Ow ∞”, the record is to be the first released on their own record label, Psychic Hotline. Expect a range of emotions and memories to bleed their way into the lyrics and notes on this record, as the journal of a “dystopian present, past and future” is opened.
New single ‘On & On,’ features a stellar group of musicians alongside the duo of Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn, as Daniel Aged (bass), Glenn Kotche (drums, percussion), Jake Luppen (guitar), TJ Maiani (drums) and Jenn Wasner (bass, guitar, percussion). Together, the layered work and tones of each individual weave their way together for a sound that encapsulates a monotonous cycle of the writer’s modern lifestyle.
The duo have also announced a series of free, all-ages Hi-Fi listening parties on September 3rd for the new album “Ow ∞”, as well as a set of tour dates that Sylvan Esso are taking across the US over the next month.
