Fontaines D.C. gear up for the release of their fourth album “Romance” with the whirlwind third single, ‘Here’s The Thing’.
The cinematic music video, directed by filmmaker Luna Carmoon, faultlessly grasps the song’s sincere emotions and paranoia. It immerses viewers in a traditional Irish Dancing competition, showcasing chaos through Carmoon’s lens.
The song ‘Here’s The Thing’ was written just before the band entered the studio to record the album. Frontman Grian Chatten describes it as an ‘urgent tune exploring emotional autonomy in extreme situations’.
Fontaines D.C. has confirmed that their largest headline show will take place on 5 July next year at Finsbury Park in London. The band will perform alongside a specially curated lineup of friends and collaborators, including Belfast hip-hop trio Kneecap and Australian pub-rock band Amyl and the Sniffers, with more acts to be announced. Tickets will be available for general sale starting Friday, August 9, 2024, via Ticketmaster.
The new album “Romance” is out on 23 August 2024 on XL Recordings.
