London-based alt-rock duo beachtown have unveiled new track ‘Like Anyone’, which is taken from their new EP “UNSAYABLE”.

Along with the release, they’ve also dropped the visual accompaniment for it. The Menorca-born Zaine Masoliver and Londoner Fred Cowan have crafted the hazy sounding track about the feeling of feeling out of your depth and struggling to believe in yourself.

The music video takes a different turn, wanting to change the direction of what the song stands for – a goofier take on self-introspection.

“Like Anyone is the feeling of dissociating / disconnecting from yourself… I had a time where I would feel like that nearly every evening or at least once a day. I started writing it when I was feeling that way and it sort of helped me clear up what I was going through. It’s probably the one that means most to me and in the song there’s also recordings of me talking with my grandma in Spanish in her house in Barcelona.”

Formed in 2019, during a chance meeting in the queue for a gig in London, a chat between the two later turned into the music project. Since then, they’ve gone from strength to strength with notbalee national radio play and playlist features in the UK .
