RobMoro TV | Lizzy McAlpine – ‘ceilings’

A series of sold out shows in Europe awaits.

Lizzy McAlpine returns with the video for her single ‘ceilings’ and is taken from her second album, “five seconds flat”, released last April

The video, which was directed by regular collaborator Gus Black, features fleeting flashbacks of moments in a relationship that McAlpine dreams about but never actually happens. All of which is set to the sound of tender lyrics and gentle guitar strings.

“the ‘ceilings’ music video represents the seconds after meeting someone you like, where you begin to picture a relationship with them. Ultimately, you realise that it doesn’t actually exist and it was just your imagination. I think we all do that, it’s human nature and that’s really what the song is about too.”

Elsewhere, McAlpine has been busy touring and gearing up for a run of European shows this summer, including a sold-out show at Dublin’s Vicar Street.

Having risen to notable acclaim through well-received reviews and on the back of popular Soundcloud and YouTube channels, her debut album “Give Me A Minute” began the breakout for the US star in 2020. Setting a trajectory that has been on the up ever since.
