RobMoro TV | Breanna Barbara – ‘Nothin’ But Time’

Breanna Barbara shares the video for ‘Nothin’ But Time'.

NYC’s Breanna Barbara shares the video for ‘Nothin’ But Time’, which is taken from her recently released second album.

For the recording of the album,, Barbara and her band returned to Nashville’s Bomb Shelter studio with Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Hurray For The Riff Raff) – with whom she recorded “Mirage Dreams.”

On the accompanying video for the title track, director Laura-Lynn Petrick adds:

“Breanna is on another dimensional plane, observing the city as the mundane and magic unfolds before her, feeling clusters of feelings. She gives in to the city’s temptations and allows New York to enamour her.”

“Nothin’ But Time’ started off as a love song and ended as an anthem. It’s a track about holding your loved ones tight in the most dizzying of times and surrendering to life’s most mysterious currency; sweet, sweet time. The video was directed and shot by Laura-Lynn Petrick and is a love letter to New York City as well as a slight homage to Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders, one of my favorite films. New York has been my home and muse for over 10 years now so it only felt right to film the last video to the title track with the city in mind. The people are like trees here, each one of them etched in with memories and stories, I find great inspiration and spirit walking among them.”

Barbara’s second full-length is in part a love letter to New York, but also a voyage via the sounds of psych rock and blues, pinned by emphatic vocals and exceptional songwriting.

New album “Nothin’ But Time” out now via Fuzz Club.
