New Zealand singer-songwriter Marlon Williams presents a new single titled ‘Easy Does It’, from his forthcoming album “My Boy”.
The track reels with serene guitar notes. while Williams’ vocals glides over the bluegrass sound.
Speaking loosely on the imagery used by director Martin Sagadins, Williams described the scene as; “the boys, sweaty from the days digging and dancing, launching into the shallows of Lyttelton harbour, hoping to lure some poor sailors to a watery grave.”
“I’ve always explored different character elements in my music, and I think the more I get into acting, the more tricks I’m learning about representation and presentation. I’m trying to make my worlds feed into each other as much as possible. To get braver and bold with exploring shifting contexts and new ways of doing things.”
Marlon Williams.
Over the past four years, Williams has developed a novice acting career and become a sought-after musician. The aim for “My Boy” decodes this experience into a resonant, spirited record that is as sincere.
New album “My Boy” will be released on 9 September 2022 via Dead Oceans.
