Fontaines D.C. have announced their third album, “Skinty Fia”, alongside the release of the first single taken from it called, ‘Jackie Down The Line’.
There is also the triple news with a video for ‘Jackie Down The Line’ which was directed by Hugh Mulhern and features the work of dancer and choreographer, Blackhaine.
Working for a third time with producer Dan Carey, “Skinty Fia” follows 2020’s GRAMMY-nominated sophomore album “A Hero’s Death”.
The band will promote the new single with a live performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday 12 January also.
According to the band’s announcement, the story behind the album title “Skinty Fia” is an Irish phrase that translates as “the damnation of the deer”, hence the subtle cover art that features a deer, plucked from its natural habitat and deposited in the hallway of a home.
“Skinty Fia” will be released on 22 April on Partisan Records
