Ahead of his forthcoming album release, Matt Berninger debuts new single ‘Distant Axis’.
The new track ‘Distant Axis’ comes adjacent to a video which he directed alongside his brother, Tom, and Chris Sgroi.
Berninger wrote the song with The Walkmen’s Walter Martin, and is centred around the thought of losing touch with someone you know, becoming distant.
“Serpentine Prison”, the upcoming solo record from Berninger—frontman of the critically acclaimed group The National—was produced by famed Memphis multi-instrumentalist Booker T. Jones. It will be released via Book Records, a new imprint created by Berninger and Jones in conjunction with Concord Records.
