Irish outfit, The Blizzards, have followed up the visual for their 2020 single, “Pound the Pavement”.
Originally due to film a performance-based music video, but out of respect for the current restrictions, the band cancelled the shoot. Instead, they are creating a video that brings the band together as abstract versions of themselves performing in a virtual location.
The videos an innovative way to capture each member perform from their respective homes and mapping it together to create a striking video.
They collaborated with Dublin based studio, Algorithm Productions, a creative production studio based in Dublin. They created video concept tying in the image from the album cover depicting the brain scans of all 4 band members whilst engaged in playing their instruments. To do this they used a Mocap suit (Motion Capture Suit) from Target 3D in the UK.
In other news, the band have joined a movement to support members and non-members who work in any crew related role in the Irish Music Industry due to the recent cancellations and postponement of festivals, tours. For this, profits from The Blizzards’ merchandise sold on EVNTZ.app and the #WeAreTheSupportAct initiative will go to support crews involved.
