Dublin’s Fontaines D.C. return with a new track, ‘A Hero’s Death’, which is from a forthcoming album due in July.
The title track from the new release has also arrived with a music video starring Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones, The Wire, Peaky Blinders), which follows his character caught in a surreal and repetitively testing moment.
The title is taken from a line in a play by Brendan Behan and unearth’s a change of structure and intensity from their debut album, “Dogrel” helped them breakthrough as one of 2019’s best new acts.
Fontaines D.C. plan to tour extensively behind “A Hero’s Death”, so there’s something to look forward to on top of a new album.
“A Hero’s Death” is out on 31 July 2020 via Partisan Records.
