Dana Williams makes a triumphant return with the release of new single ‘Silly Words’.
A lovely melody is met with elegant strings as Williams croons “Maybe if I’m the one who leaves you first, you’ll think of me as a pioneer. Don’t make me say those silly words.” The theme of which is about opening up in a relationship.
“There’s this feeling of anxiety and fear of rejection that being vulnerable brings. It’s about appreciating the person for who they are and hoping for a mutual acceptance, but ultimately being prepared to run from imminent rejection, at any moment.”
Williams also appeared as a featured artist alongside Aminé on Rejjie Snow’s ‘Egyptian Luvr’ — a January 2018 single that garnered over 20 million streams on Spotify to date.
