Scottish indie-rock troupe Yakima have returned with a new single titled ‘It Helped’.
Produced by Benji Compston and Jon EE Allan of Happyness (Moshi Moshi Records) – the track was originally penned as about quitting nicotine.
For the recording, the band tucked themselves away in the unusual setting of a drafty old gatehouse next to a nearby castle.
The band’s forthcoming debut EP is due in March is what the Glasgow quartet Yakima have been developing through the release of a number of single releases.
Their debut EP “Go Virtually” is due out on the 20 March and lead single “It Helped” is an excellent lo-fi opener.
