Ciaran Lavery releases the first single from his upcoming release titled ‘Can I Begin Again’.
An ambiguous title is left blackened out across artwork and posts about the new release, hinting at the album release expected later this year. The new track does mark a strong, brooding intent the promises a hell of a lot. Possibly at Lavery’s most visceral in songwriting terms.
“I knew there needed urgency in the songs that were being created in order to balance the nakedness of the lyrics,” adds Ciaran. “It’s the Joy Division trick of making people dance while you punch them in the gut with the true message – which I love.”
Ciaran will be joining Boy & Bear as main support on their UK dates this February:
20-Feb – Manchester, Gorilla
21-Feb – Glasgow Arts School
22-Feb – Nottingham, Rescue Rooms
24-Feb – Birmingham, Institute 3
25-Feb – Bristol, Thekla
26-Feb – London, O2 Shepherds Bush Empire
