Of Montreal recently announced a new album “UR FUN” and have shared a new track titled, ‘You’ve Had Me Everywhere’.
The track is a song that looks into the relationship between of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes and Christina Schneider of Locate S,1. It is a bouncy, melodic ode to a time spent between two lovers.
It also namechecks some pretty great synthesisers too in the form of Oberheim Matrix-1000 and a Korg Prologue 8.
After several albums recorded with collaborators, this one was were Barnes opted to record completely alone at his home studio in Athens, Georgia. He secluded himself in productive hibernation, operating obsessive 12-plus hour days arranging synth and drum machine maps
