New Zealand based Lontalius releases new single ‘Swim’, a track lifted from the second full-length album ‘All I Have’.
The follow up to his Partisan Records-issued première album “I’ll Forget 17” the latest album was co-produced with Om’Mas Keith (recognised for his work w/ Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu, Kevin Abstract etc.) – with contributions from the likes of Jim Fairchild (member of Modest Mouse and Grandaddy), Roy Blair, Instupendo, Mr Hudson and more.
Speaking on new single ‘Swim’, Lontalius said: “‘Swim’ is about the acceptance that with all the heartbreak, anxiety and stress of being young, the universe is still leading you on the right path.”
Its accompanying video reflects the contemplative nature of its lyrics; with “You can lead a boy to the water but you can’t make him swim” before swelling to a cathartic crescendo of soaring guitar leitmotifs and striking percussion.
