Music | The National announce new album “I Am Easy To Find” + share new track

The National

Opening with new track, ‘You Had Your Soul With You”, The National return with details of a new album and World Tour.

The band’s eighth studio album and the follow-up to 2017’s “Sleep Well Beast” is due out in May this year. It will also have a companion short film of the same title and feature Actress Alica Vikander in the Mike Mills directed visual.

The skittering sound that burst out on their previous record has transcended onto ‘You Had Your Soul With You’, which also features the vocals of long-time David Bowie collaborator Gail Ann Dorsey.

The album features vocal contributions from Sharon Van Etten, Brooklyn Youth Chorus, Lisa Hannigan, and more.

Headlining the now sold-out, All Together Now Festival in Ireland in August, plus a number of  “A Very Special Evening with The National,” events happening this April in Paris, London, New York, Toronto and LA, it seems to be that more tour dates will follow later this year and into 2020.

“I Am Easy To Find” is out on 17 May on 4AD.
