Father John Misty will release a new album this year. Titled “God’s Favorite Customer”, this will be his fourth record and follows last year’s “Pure Comedy”.
Out on the first day of June via Bella Union in Ireland / UK / Europe and Sub Pop in the rest of the world. It features the previously released ‘Mr. Tillman,’ along with highlights ‘Disappointing Diamonds Are the Rarest of Them All’ and ‘Just Dumb Enough to Try’, both of which are below.
Produced by Tillman and recorded with Jonathan Rado, Dave Cerminara, and Trevor Spencer. The album was said to be written mostly in New York between Summer 2016 and Winter 2017.
Father John Misty is also out on tour over the coming months, dates that include Irish, UK + European performances, such as three dates in May at Vicar Street in Dublin, a performance at BBC’s Biggest Weekend in Belfast, and the Parisian summer starter that is We Love Green.
