Music | TLC postpone Metropolis Festival appearance, Todd Terje among replacements

Metropolis Festival 2017

Metropolis Festival, which takes place in Dublin from 28-29 October in Dublin’s RDS, have announced that TLC have had to postpone their appearance at this year’s event.

“This week we have received the unfortunate news that, due to a back injury sustained by T Boz  (Tionne Watkins), TLC have been forced to reschedule their European Tour of UK, Germany and France –  which also includes their performance at Metropolis Festival.” opened the festival in a statement on Tuesday afternoon.

“Whilst we are disappointed at this news, and have ADDED FOUR extra incredible acts to replace them for the Bank Holiday Sunday, all in keeping with the programming and style of Metropolis Festival. For those of you who bought Sunday tickets especially to see TLC, you can get a full refund from Ticketmaster, but let us tell you about the acts we’ve got coming first…”

The festival has announced that well-known names such as Todd Terje and DJ Jazzy Jeff are among four new acts drafted in to replace TLC. Mixmag tipped DJ Denis Sulta from Glasgow and Aussie DJ MALL GRAB, who has played numerous shows in Berlin and Paris (including a Boiler Room show) all join the Sunday line-up with Richie Hawtin, Jungle, Adam Beyer, Mount Kimbie and more.

Some more news is that ticket prices for Sunday will remain at €69.50 and will not increase to the final tier of €79.50 as in the past events.

More news on conversations and Red Bull Music Academy line-ups are to follow soon.
