Saint Sister’s ‘Causing Trouble’ is the sort of electronic folk that makes you step back and question what and where have you heard it before, then you realise that it is a more blissful version of a Moby or Massive Attach production. The Dublin based but Northern rared duo of Saint Sister have progressed in the right direction for sure.
Following support slots with acts including JAWS and INHEAVEN, Leeds shoegazers Colour of Spring have announced the release of reverb-laden new single ‘Love’, the second from their self-titled EP out 23 June via House of Love Records.
Hailing from apparently awesome town of Tromsø in Norway — Dagny (Norvoll Sandvik) has been on rising radars everywhere in the past nine months or so. Norway is brimming with great pop acts throwing some indie-pop synth lines here and there. Although, she is the daugther of two well-known musicians in her native country, so perhaps Dagny has an excuse for being a tiny bit great. Also, if you get the chance to see her outside of Norway (I am looking at you Corkconians) in those handful of dates planned, do it.
Ahead of the release of her second album, “I’m Not Your Man”, due 2 June on AMF Records and Sub Pop in the US, Marika Hackman has dropped a new album track ‘Cigarette’. This is probably the best way to finish the new music post for this week, a track that opens the room for thought and burns out into the night.
