Dublin Bowie Festival cover

The 2nd Dublin Bowie Festival will return to venues across the city from 5-10 January 2017. An expanded programme will “encapsulate the profound influence and inspiration that Bowie had on both popular culture and art.” according to the festival organisers.

Different aspects will include: movie & documentary screenings, Q&A’s, debates & discussions, literary events, fashion, markets, illustration, karaoke, and more

Venues include Vicar St, The George, Whelans, The Grand Social, The Workmans, The Sugar Club, The Mercantile Hotel, The Opium Rooms, The Liquor Rooms and other creative hotspots.

Selected Festival highlights so far include a Q&A with one of the last people to work creatively with Bowie; Lazarus co-author, the Tony Award-winning playwright Enda Walsh.

Sunday sees  Rebel Rebel take over Vicar St (on what would have been Bowies 70th birthday)  with an aftershow at The Workman’s Club for a Karaoke Bowie special.
