Somewhere? is 6!
You might have noticed the outstanding folk who make the tunes spin every Wednesday at The Workman’s Club are the collective of Somewhere?, where DJs belt out alternative tunes, indie anthems, hip hop, r&b, house and disco over 2 floors. But, on Wednesday, 5 October, they have all grown up and are throwing a 6th birthday party.
Upstairs on the night, Trev & Co, will be belting out the best in Alternative Tunes, Indie Anthems, Psychedelic Sounds and Manchester Bands. Expect Fat White Family to Girl Band, Tame Impala to Arctic Monkeys, Super Furry Animals to Brian Jonestown Massacre, Joy Division to Stone Roses. Downstairs, Niall D’arcy aka Deece will also be playing the best in Hip-Hop, R&B, House and Disco.
In addition to our deadly regular DJs, you will find OLUBENGA from METRONOMY. He’ll be joining the residents on the decks and we know he’s got some special bag o’ tunes to unleash upon you.
If you ask nicely at Somewhere? Wednesdays at The Workman’s Club on Facebook, the team might just put you on the cheap list! If not, you can always take your chances at 11pm for €5 entrance However, by then the queue is likely to be down the street.
