Almost-Ghosts

Almost Ghosts are an indie-electronic trio from Dublin who layer driving synths, atmospheric guitars and that pre-gig indie rock to get you psyched.  Think Two Door Cinema Club meets Atlas Genius, and their gem of a track ‘Light Falls’.

Jay Pray and latest track ‘I’d Go Anywhere (Do Anything)’ is an upbeat indie pop track with touches of Carousel and a hint of Phoenix. There’s a bit of Kevin Parker influence in there too, as the track is this dirty bass filled synth pop dream.

Fictionist have released their “Free Spirit” EP, which you can listen to the title track of the same name above. These synth driven tracks are a pleasure to hear with psych key swirls and lo-fi drums.

‘California’ is a laid back surf track that brings The Lagoons into this genre of soulful indie rock. Reminding me of Bill Withers, it its a summer evening by the beach kind of track.

Belfast’s Beauty Sleep’s new single, ‘Living Right’ is a dreamy, lo-fi, ode to highs that have not yet been achieved.  You might recognise some of them from former act The Wonder Villians also. For fans of Summer Heart, this track is glorious and hazey.

Kingdom of Crows return with new track ‘Despondency’, a dark, strong rock track that is brought on by Kelly’s guitar work and Lucy Earley’s  vocals.  The rest of the album will follow over the next few months, but for now lets enjoy this nihilistic kicker.
