Dublin based roots quartet, Mongrel State, announce the release of their debut album, ‘Mestizo’ (Spanish for Mongrel) for Friday 29 January 2016.
The album was recorded in late 2015 at Orphan Recordings in Dublin, with renowned producer Gavin Glass.
The band is called Mongrel State not just because their music is a mix of different Americana styles – all four members hail from different countries: Darren Flynn (bass/vocals) is Irish, Claudio Mercante (guitar/vocals) is Italian, Guillermo Gonzalez Rodriguez (keyboards/guitar/percussion/vocals) is Spanish, and Sebastian Jezzi (drums/vocals) is Argentinian.
Touring the release of the album, the band hit the road from late January to mid April.
