Ludovico Einaudi, the most streamed classical composer, is collaborating with Spotify to give users the chance to play his new track ‘Night’ on their homepage. It is the first time Spotify have allowed music to be performed, not just streamed, within the service.
The ‘Touch Pianist’ app transforms a computer keyboard into a piano and will be available on the Spotify homepage for one day only in the UK (20 October) – other countries will follow suit later this year. Users* will be able to perform ‘Night’ from Einaudi’s new album “Elements“, out now on Decca.
Recorded this year at Einaudi’s Italian home,“Elements“ features 12 tracks, which interweave piano, strings, percussion, guitar and electronica.
