Beeatooth, Bury Tomorrow, We Are The In Crowd, and headliners Don Broco set upon a fierce show at The Academy, Dublin last night for 2015’s Kerrang Tour.
Beartooth opened, with the venue packing in as the show went on, those working the promo in the hall would have had a busy time with the influx of the crowd who seemed to be liking what they heard.
Bury Tomorrow are a little more established this side of the water, having made The Academy into their spiritual home at this stage. Tracks from albums such as “Runes” and “Union of Crowds” offered the crowd some familiarity.
We Are The In Crowd had an abundance of energy for a band who had just got over jet lag and intense few days on the road. It might have been difficult to understand lyrics with the amount of jumping that went on, but the sound was top-notch and may have just stole the show before headline act Don Broco came on. They was even a cameo appearance from a crowd member dressed as a shark, which prompted a chant to make the night oddly unique.
Channeling Bring Me the Horizon and You Me At Six on occasion, Don Broco must have felt like they were playing a venue twice the size. Looking slightly worn out from the evenings proceedings, the crowd still had the energy for Don Broco’s set, which was made up of some new tracks, but mostly tracks that are known to fans from their upcoming album and previous releases.
A good crowd, good sound, equipment a plenty and genuine all round top night for those involved in Kerrang Tour’s stop-off in Dublin.
