New Year’s Eve is shaping up to be a wall shaking one this year at The Workman’s Club. Not to forget the bundles of fun to be had across the three floors of music that will cost you absolutely nothing but manners on your way in.
If you fancy making a bit more of your night at the indie club, tickets are still available for The Minutes, Leaders of Men and Aoife Underwater in the gig venue, and are reasonably priced too at €18. Tickets are available here and they also guarantee entry to all the DJ events later that evening.
Here’s the breakdown for the night:
Join Somewhere and Workman’s Saturdays Residents Trev and Brian Ashe, who will be playing indie anthems from Interpol to Morrissey, Temples to Tame Impala, Sleaford Mods to Metronomy, Arcade Fire to Arctic Monkeys, The Horrors to Joy Division, Stone Roses to Underworld.
Dave Salacious will be spinning disco and house tunes for a lengthy spell if you’re looking to get your ears and arms moving.
Sr. Lisa Marie will break out the classics (and guilty pleasures) from the 80’s, 90’s and Noughties.
The best part of the DJ listings is that it is all free, zero, not a cent for entry, but early admission is advised to ensure you say ‘I was there’.
