Music | Longitude add new acts from CANVAS competition

In just over a week, Longitude have announced the addition of three up and coming local acts to the line up – Nobody’s Heroes, Aaron Rowe & Rosa Kearns.

The three acts were winners of CANVAS, the Grainstore’s Youth Arts Committee, Battle of the Bands.  Each winner was chosen by public vote at the final of the competition on 29 June at the Grainstore, Cabinteely.

All three winning local acts will get to perform at Marlay Park alongside artists such as Ben Howard, Massive Attack, Disclosure and fellow Irish artists James Vincent McMorrow & Hozier among many others.

Nobody’s Heroes formed in September 2009. Their influences include artists such as, Paolo Nutini, Ray Charles, The Beatles and John Legend and are a regular performers at Grainstore’s Youth Arts Committee CANVAS.

Singer/songwriter Aaron Rowe has been performing since he was fifteen. His main influences are old rock n roll legends like Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Pink Floyd! Aaron plays regularly around Dublin and is building up to the release of his first EP next year.

Rosa Kearns has been gigging regularly for the past six years.  Her influences include Foo Fighters, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam and Nirvana to name a few. Rosa also caught the attention of scouts at X Factor and is currently working on finishing her first E.P.
