Irish rockers The Riptide Movement will embark on a tour of HMV stores around Dublin, to celebrate the launch of their eagerly anticipated new album, “Getting Through”, performing in Henry Street, Liffey Valley and Dundrum this weekend.

The band will perform live, meet fans and sign copies of their new album which releases on 4 April in the following locations:

  • Saturday 5 March: HMV Liffey Valley  @ 1.00pm
  • Sunday 6 March: HMV Dundrum Town Centre @ 2.00pm

Vocalist and guitarist Mal Tuohy and his bandmates Jay Dalton (guitar), Gerry McGarry (bass & harmonica) and Gar Byrne (drums & piano) got together in 2006 through their mutual love of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Ryan Adams, Rory Gallagher and The Rolling Stones. Since forming the The Riptide Movement have toured extensively and supported The Rolling Stones at their Hyde Park homecoming.

Since returning to the Irish high street, HMV has featured live performances by some of the most exciting music acts around, including Damien Dempsey, The Strypes, John Newman, Biffy Clyro, Cathy Davey, Jerry Fish, Hidden Highways, Derek Ryan as well as appearances by The Wanted, Shane Filan, Nathan Carter and Kian Egan.
