Music | Leaders of Men announce EP release date

Dublin rockers Leaders of Men are set to release their first single “For Want Of A Better Word” on Friday 14 February.  The single is the band’s first release from their upcoming EP “Alexander House”, which was recorded by Cameron Blackwood, who is known for his work with the highly rated London Grammer in recent times.

Made up of various members from bands in the Tallaght music scene, Leaders of Men were born in 2011.  “For Want Of A Better Word” is the band’s first official single release, taken from the “Alexander House” EP. Fans were given a taster last November with track “At Ease” (www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZbKXJUSVS4).

The EP title has a personal meaning for the band, as  many of the band’s early songs were composed in the Alexander House apartments in Tallaght, where several members of the band were living at the time.  For them, it is a reminder of where they came from and how far they have progressed since those early days.

Leaders of Men have also set their sights on a debut album for release at the end of the year, with the band looking to make 2014 their year.
