The Riptide Movement are well known for their live shows and they certainly maintained their status with a gig in Kilkenny’s Set Theatre on Saturday night.
Opening the show were local indie rockers Neon Wolf, who were on top form despite being down a member for the night. Playing songs from their Love Lost In Design EP, Neon Wolf had the audience on their side from the word go.
When The Riptide Movement hit the stage, the four piece were joined by a guest trumpet player who gave the band an extra lift during their performance.
The show started at a fast pace, and continued throughout the night. From fan favourite Thieves In the Gallery to Shake Shake, the crowd jumped at the chance to join in when asked.
It may have been the first time The Riptide Movement played in Kilkenny, but judging by the reaction of both the band and the audience, it won’t be long before they are back.
