Music | Chequerboard to release third album

Dublin musician John Lambert (Chequerboard) is set to release his third album The Unfolding in September. Armed with a vast selection of instruments, Chequerboard creates a live show of a melodic and chilling nature.

Chequerboard has also announced the release of song ‘Today is Beautiful, We Have Things to do’, which has been made available to stream or download as part of a pre-order option. The full album is also available to pre-order on all formats as are tickets for the two album launch gigs in The Little Museum of Dublin on 27th and 28th of September.

When a demo version of the album made its way to producer Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros, Cocteau Twins, M83) by an online crowd sourcing campaign, it led to the mixing and recording of the album by Thomas. It was then produced and engineered by Stephen Shannon at Experimental Audio studios in Crumlin, Dublin.

The album and ticket package is available to buy for the nice price of €12 on Bandcamp, with the September 27th September bundle available here and the 28th September one here.
