Last night, one of the most beloved acts to come out of the American underground in the 1990s, Pavement, took the stage for their debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, delivering a powerful performance of ‘Harness Your Hopes.’
This track, originally a b-side, has transformed into a streaming sensation and is now officially certified as an RIAA gold record.
Director Alex Ross Perry’s film “Pavements” is now showing in select theatres across the United States, with additional venues to follow. The film is sparking strong reactions, ranging from confusion to critical acclaim.
Matador will launch the digital edition of the Pavements soundtrack album, with a physical release scheduled for a later date. Compiled by Robert Greene, the producer and editor of PAVEMENTS, along with the band, the record combines key elements from Perry’s film.
‘Pavements’ the soundtrack is out on Matador on 30 May, 2025.
