Listen | Wild Nothing shares new single ‘Suburban Solutions’ from upcoming album

Wild Nothing

Wild Nothing has released another track from the upcoming LP “Hold”. The new track, titled Suburban Solutions’ features Ms. Dana and Molly Burch participating in a kind of pseudo-chorus while Wild Nothing’s Jack Tatum advocates for self-improvement by using an anti-jingle inspired by 80s synthpop.

The track follows the release of previous single ‘Headlights On’, both of which return to the shoegaze-inspired ’80s synth-pop vibe from the beloved sounds of Wild Nothing’s past into the present.

The video for the single, which was directed by Tatum and Yumi Zouma’s Josh Burgess, satirizes the incessant courtship that Tatum experienced after the birth of his child. The video challenges the viewer to “sign on the dotted line, put your feet up, and surrender to sweet oblivion.” It was shot in part in the suburbs of Tatum’s native Virginia.

“Hold” will be released 27 October 2023 on Captured Tracks.
