Listen | Slow Pulp share new single ‘Broadview’

Slow Pulp

New music in the form of Slow Pulp’s latest single and visualizer has arrived. ‘Broadview,’ is taken from their upcoming album, “Yard”, which set to release in September.

The quartet, originally from Madison but now based in Chicago, have poured their hearts into creating a beautiful Americana ballad that features the pedal steel of Peter Briggs and the harmonica and banjo of Willie Christianson.

“This song is about letting yourself fall in love for the first time in a long time. After being hurt in previous relationships I was trying to decide if making the jump was worth it. Turns out it was.” The accompanying visualizer by Melanie Kleid is a stunning collage of animations that evoke late-night summer love.

The song’s lyrics are relatable and tug at the heartstrings, as they narrate the experience of falling in love after a long period of hurtful relationships. It’s not easy to open up to love again, but the protagonist in the song ultimately decides to take the leap of faith.

Melanie Kleid’s visualizer is mesmerizing, with its collage of animations that evoke the feeling of summer love on a late night.

Slow Pulp’s “Yard” tour gets underway this autumn, with some UK dates already sold out and show at The Garage in London being upgraded. Tickets remain available for a number of dates.

New album “Yard” is out on 29 September 2023 via ANTI-.
