Listen | RATBOYS share new single ‘Morning Zoo’ and announce Euro/UK tour

RATBOYS

Chicago-based band Ratboys are set to release their new album, “The Window”, later this month and tease it with latest single, ‘Morning Zoo’.

According to Steiner, “Morning Zoo” expresses the frustration and confusion one feels when standing at a crossroads in life. The lyrics capture the feeling of numb indecision and pesky anxiety, and the song paints a picture of disassociating while waiting at a stop sign or being stuck behind a long freight train.

The band put together the new record at a residential studio without a fixed plan. Working with producer Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie, Tegan and Sara, Foxing) in Seattle for three weeks to record the album.

Ratboys will kick off their North American tour in September before heading to Europe for their first-ever headline shows overseas. The UK leg of their tour includes shows in Brighton, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, and London.

New album “The Window” is due 25 August via Topshelf Records.
