RobMoro TV | The Black Angels – ‘History of the Future’

The Black Angels

The Black Angels, a psychedelic rock band from Austin, have released a music video for their new song ‘History of the Future.’

You can find the track on their latest album, “Wilderness of Mirrors”, which is currently available on Partisan Records.

The video was directed by Clever Cardoso and shot in Terlingua, TX, drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd’s iconic ‘Live at Pompeii’ concert.

“The video is very much inspired by Pink Floyd’s Live at Pompeii, the idea was to juxtapose the past and the present, history and the future, by playing electric music in the untouched desert landscape that retains the exact same topography from millions of years ago. The earth will survive and continue to thrive even with human interruption. We wanted to get deep into the ancient landscape and send electronic musical vibrations throughout the desert caverns and mountains and wake the spirits residing in the unseen dimension all around us.”

The Black Angels have toured heavily in support of the record, and will continue to play headline shows throughout the US and Europe this year. They have confirmed dates with The Dandy Warhols; on a co-headline tour that is on sale now.

Together since 2004, play psych-rock inspired by Syd Barrett, Roky Erickson, Arthur Lee, and the Velvet Underground.

“Wilderness of Mirrors” is out now via Partisan.
