CLAUD has just released their fourth song, ‘It’s Not About You’ from their upcoming sophomore album, “Supermodels”, which is due out next month.
CLAUD faced hardships after the success of their first album “Super Monster”. Dealing with issues like separation, loss, and a lack of support system, turning to music for comfort.
“‘It’s Not About You’ is a song I wrote about people taking the things you’re going through personally. I experienced this heavily when I was first coming out and receiving reactions that solely centered the other person focusing on how my identity was going to affect their life. It’s frustrating and isolating, so this song goes out to those who are experiencing backlash at times when they really need support.”

However, despite the challenges, CLAUD continued to pursue their passion and created music in their apartment using a poorly adjusted acoustic guitar and a second-hand piano with some notes that needed to be added.
CLAUD’s apartment boasted a tenacious acoustic guitar and a well-worn piano that embody the experiences of the “supermodels” themselves. The 13 tracks on the album are said to delve into the cracks in relationships and friendships, the pressures of a music career, the losses of growing up, and the laugh lines of life.
“Supermodels” is out on 14 July via Saddest Factory Records.
