Music | Heading to Body&Soul this weekend? Here is what you need to know

Festival goers make the long awaited return to Body & Soul Festival 2022

Prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience at the Body & Soul Festival this weekend from 16 – 18 June! For three days and nights, immerse yourself in creativity, celebration, and surprises under the solstice skies.

This year, the musical offering hosts a line–up with Moderat, The Blaze, Fever Ray, Alison Goldfrapp, The Murder Capital, Kurt Vile & The Violators, to name a few.

The festival boasts an array of activities such as art, gastronomy, performances, discussions, woodlands, and more. Be sure to check out the website’s FAQ section for any questions.

In the meantime, here are a few tips so that you don’t let this incredible weekend with your tribe slip away!

Getting There

You can find driving directions on the festival’s website. Just a heads up, though, follow the festival signage instead of relying solely on your sat nav. And don’t forget, ticket holders should enter through Gate A, which you can access from L5525.

Oh, and if you’re looking for a more eco-friendly and safe way to get there, you might want to consider taking one of the bus services provided by Bus Eireann. They’ve got routes available from Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway, and you can even book your bus tickets on the festival’s website.

Shuttle services will run every hour from 12pm to 3am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to and from Mullingar Train Station. You can snag your shuttle tickets for only €5 on the Bus Eireann website or when you arrive at the festival.

What to Bring and What to Leave Behind

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience at Body & Soul 2023, here is a list of items to bring and things to avoid bringing.

  • Bring cash as some traders may not accept contactless payments and there will be no ATM on site.
  • Don’t forget your phone and a backup battery, acceptable photo ID, and your tickets either on your phone or in printed form.
  • It is also important to dress appropriately for outdoor weather conditions and bring a reusable water bottle.
  • However, do not bring any glass, offensive weapons, drones, generators, gas canisters, or pets.
  • For alcohol, each weekend ticket holder is allowed a personal allowance of either 24 cans of beer or cider, 1 bottle of spirits, or 1 litre of wine in a plastic bottle.
  • No glass is allowed on site and outside alcohol is not permitted with day tickets.

Setting Up Camp

Body & Soul have done a fantastic job of becoming a circular festival! Apparently, they’ve made some great progress with their Leave No Trace Campsite too.

To keep things sustainable, everyone has to follow the Leave No Trace policy. That means taking your camping gear home and disposing of your waste at the festival. If you’re looking for a quieter spot to camp with your family, they have a designated area for that. And, if you’re feeling fancy, you can request a Boutique Camping reservation (subject to availability).

Tickets

The weekend and Sunday tickets for Body & Soul 2023 are selling out quickly. If you plan on bringing a campervan, you should act fast and secure your tickets before they’re all gone.

Ensure that you have your ticket readily available by downloading it onto your phone or printing it from the PDF sent to you upon purchase. It’s crucial to avoid fumbling around trying to locate their ticket at the entrance.

Lastly, remember to put your name on your ticket! If you acquire a ticket from someone else, they can change the name on it for a small fee of €10. If any issues arise, don’t hesitate to send an email to support@ticketbooth.eu, and they’ll be happy to assist you.
