The Drums are back with a new song, ‘Obvious.’ with a soothing melody, and Jonny Pierce, the band’s founder, takes the lead.
It is the latest preview from their forthcoming sixth studio album, Building upon recent introspective releases, including “I Want It All” and the interconnected song-and-vignette “Plastic Envelope / Protect Him Always.”

Also, with the new album arriving, it will be their first studio record since 2019’s “Brutalism”. In ‘Obvious’, the track explores themes of self-discovery, confronting childhood trauma, and self-acceptance.
