“‘Red Sun Titans’ is a song about helplessness and complacency, centered around the fear of impending climate catastrophe. A year or so ago a young fan asked me if I would write a song about global warming and I smiled awkwardly before replying ‘I would think about it’. The subject matter really did not appeal to me and felt vastly out of my comfort zone but before dismissing the idea entirely it must have seeped deep into my subconscious. As a song it states no facts and offers no solutions it simply embraces the absurdity and surreal nature of our collective trajectory and rolls with it.”
