Conor Walsh
Irish musician and composer Conor Walsh has sadly passed away suddenly this weekend.
The Mayo-born minimal pianist released his debut ‘The Front’ EP last October on the Ensemble label. Support slots and festival appearances before and after the release showed a promising future for Conor. The Irish music community has paid tribute to the the man they compared to Philip Glass, Aphex Twin and Nils Frahm.
Conor’s family posted a message on his page also:
The family of Conor would like to sincerely thank everyone who has offered their condolences, your support is appreciated very much, and it is a great help at this difficult time.”
Walsh’s music has been used on the soundtracks to short films and segments featured on RTÉ, TV3 and RnaG documentaries.
