A unique show will take place this November, which will aim to bring some of the rising talent from UK country, folk, rhythm and roots. The show will take place London and is the first step towards a UK tour with plans being discussed for shows in America to include Nashville.
Grass Roots Music UK is made up of British artists in the folk, roots and country genres. With media support for these genres being at an all-time recent high, the aim is to further develop the profile of these and other artists.

The original idea was to look at a tour akin to old Motown or Stiff tours where we get several acts together on the road so instead of playing to only a few people, they can draw a far bigger crowd with support from local media. I dare not call it a movement but there is something going on here and we believe we should make the most of it, let’s hope this is the start of something that will grow and grow”.
Acts scheduled to take part in the showcase include: Balsamo Deighton / Red Sky July / Lucy-May / Raintown / Frankie Davies
The show takes place on Monday 24 November in the 229 Club, London. Tickets £12.50 available here.
