youbloom launches youbloom learning
Following its second year, the international music conference and 3-day music festival, youbloom has announced the launch of youbloom Learning
Consultation with the youbloom audience and feedback from delegates who attended youbloom@Dublin over the past 2 years, youbloom CEO Phil Harrington says that
“the company has identified a very real need within the community for a structured learning programme to equip emerging artists with the relevant business knowledge and skills to operate within the increasingly DIY music market.”
The first youbloom Learning course will cover PR & Social Media Marketing Skills, Brand Creation and Control of Multi-Platform Content, Synchronisation Deals, Negotiating Deals and Intellectual Property, Record Keeping and Taxation in Music and Monetising Online Streamed Content. The course is aimed at emerging and aspiring music artists.
A panel of industry members to design and deliver the course including Steve Lindsey (Elevate), Eileen O’Gorman (GMGB Solicitors), Andrew Hetherington (FundIt), Donal Scannell (Gigstarter.com), Robert Sharp (Muzu), Jimmy Costello (Straywave) among others.
The programme will launch with a 3-day Masterclass in Dublin (Oct 25-27). Students will be supported over the following 3 months via the online student portal. Course participants will complete subject-specific assignments and receive feedback (email, Skype) on their work from youbloom Learning experts.
The course costs €499 and registration is open now. The course is limited to 30 places on a first come first served basis online at www.youbloomlearning.com/register.
