Fleadh Ceoil Sligo to be broadcast on TG4 this August.
TG4 have announced that it will once again bring some of Ireland, and the worlds, best traditional and folk musicians to TV screens for a weekend of music from Fleadh Cheoil Sligo 2014.
Broadcast live on TG4 over three nights (August 15/16/17) from 5th on Teeling in Sligo, FleadhTV will see presenters Síle Ní Bhraonáin and Lynette Fay join with Sligo local legend, Cathy Jordan from Dervish for a weekend of “craic agus ceoil”
FleadhTV is brought to TG4 by the same production team that delivered Fleadh Live, and will in September launch Bosca Ceoil on TV screens.
Sligo’s premier music venue, 5th on Teeling. will be transformed into a set recreating a mini-festival feel with a number of stages being built specially for the TV show.
FleadhTV will air on TG4 on:
Friday 15 August – 2130hrs to 2330hrs
Saturday 16 August – 2000hrs to 2300hrs
Sunday 17 August – 2000hrs to 2300hrs
FleadhTV will also be broadcast online around the world on tg4.tv & FleadhCheoil.ie and in the USA on the MHz Today’s Ireland.
