Camping

There are two camping options available at the festival, there is the old school style of bringing your own and pitching in any of the castle or moat camping areas that your ticket allows or if you fancy camping in style, you can rent a pre-pitched carpeted bell tent. If camping isn’t your thing, well there is a number of hotels and B&B’s located near the castle. Campervan tickets are available and are priced at €30.

Beat the festival queues with Castlepalooza Concierge

The first ever Castlepalooza Concierge is a new service offering speed; no hassle and extra care for customers at Castlepalooza 2014. The Concierge  allows  you the comfort of the exclusive Concierge toilet facilities & even your very own designated queue at the main bar throughout the weekend. Very limited Castlepalooza Concierge tickets are available for a €20 upgrade on your current ticket

Royalty at Castlepalooza

Vodafone’s Centre Stage and Castlepalooza are teaming up to create Ireland’s first fancy dress festival day. It is by royal decree  that Sunday, 3 August is declared official dress-up day  at Castlepalooza. The inaugural theme is everything Kings and Queens allowing festival goers to express their interpretation of a modern-day royal and take Centre Stage at the ultimate royal court for one glorious night!

Tickets

Most tickets are all gone, but there are a few €129 camping tickets left, but hurry before they’re snapped up!

Acts to see:

Dan Croll is a UK a multi-instrumentalist whose songwriting has bagged him place on Apple ads and even acclaim from former Beatles’ members.  His début ‘Sweet Dissray’ is a must have.

Vann Music were one of my picks to watch out for last year, so I’ll go with them again account that their latest single ‘Tina’ is unbelievably catchy.  You’ll be pumped after seeing these guys.

Tvvins  really impressed at Longitude this year, great stuff from Conor and Lar, indie synth rock brilliance.

Buffalo Sunn are tipped for big things, glorious sonic rock from the band with their ‘Seven Seas’ single.

Otherkin  rocked the Whelan’s 25 tent at Longitude, expect them to more of the same at Castlepalooza.

Other acts to check out this weekend include: DREA / Fox Jaw / Enemies / Gruff Rhys / Hauer / Acrobat / Conor Linnie / Heroes In Hiding / Moscow Metro
