Licence granted for Electric Picnic as capacity increases for more festival goers
Following recent licence debacles with other concerts this summer, Electric Picnic sailed past any such storm and has been granted a licence by Laois County Council.
The three-day music and arts festival also had further reason to celebrate with the news that an extra 8,000 festival goers can attend the festival, increasing the capacity from 33,000 last year to 41,000 this year.
Electric Picnic is usually host to a capacity of 32,500 people on average.
Portishead, Outkast, Beck, Foals and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers are among the acts confirmed for Electric Picnic at Stradbally Estate, Co Laois.
