Gang Of Youths reveal new track
Australian act Gang Of Youths have gone from ‘inner-city garage to national tours’ in the past 12 months with hometown heroes Cloud Control, taking the stage at Webster Hall in New York City supporting Smith Westerns and Sky Ferreira.
The band also opened for Vampire Weekend and Scottish indie rock pioneers Frightened Rabbit along the way too. A feature in NME Magazine’s Buzz as well as receive substantial airplay the world over for their first single, Evangelists has also helped them gain exposure.
A long player is expected this year after work with producer Kevin McMahon in upstate New York whose recent credits include working with Titus Andronicus, Swans and Real Estate.
‘Poison Drum’ is mixed by Peter Katis (The National, Jonsi, Frightened Rabbit) and comes right after the band’s UK live stint with Manchester Orchestra.
