Hooray For Earth‘s latest single ‘Keys’ is ambitious synth rock. Sophomore album “Racy” is due for release in the UK on 29 Sept. The guitar and drums are powerful, grabbing your attention.
Comparisons to Hooray For Earth have seen MGMT in the mix. There is a touch of Phoenix if you stripped away the poppy synth lines from tracks on ‘Lisztomania’. Another way of looking at HFE would be Phoenix does psychedelic rock.
“Racy” is the follow-up to Hooray For Earth’s 2011 debut “True Loves”. The album is now available for pre-order. “Keys” is out as well both at as 7″ and digitally.
Racy was co-produced by Chris Coady (Grizzly Bear, Beach House, Future Islands) and band leader Noel Heroux and recording took place at Dreamland in Kingston, NY and at DNA Downtown in NYC.
“Racy” Tracklisting:
1. Hey
2. Keys
3. Say Enough
4. Somewhere Else
5. Racy
6. Last, First
7. Airs
8. Happening
9. Pass
