Seth Lakeman announces UK tour dates.
Folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Seth Lakeman released his latest album “Word of Mouth” released in February 2014. His latest single ‘Last Rider’ has been released along with the new video. Seth has also announced a UK Tour for October 2014.
Seth says of Last Rider…”It is a rolling, rhythmic song written about a final journey taking by an old steam engine driver. It features the fabulous banjo playing of Leon Hunt and leads you through the rattling tracks of the railway”.
Seth played at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 6 June as part of BBC Radio 2’s D-Day 70 Years On Concert where he performed a song with the BBC Concert Orchestra and at a headline show at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre on 3 August. He plays festivals throughout the Summer including Folk by the Oak, Cambridge Folk Festival and Beautiful Days. Seth will be on the road again in October to play a UK tour with his band playing tracks from the new album and live favourites.
Seth’s previous albums include the Mercury Music Prize nominated ‘Kitty Jay’ (2005) and the gold-selling ‘Freedom Fields’ (2006) which featured the hit singles ‘Lady of the Sea’ and ‘The White Hare’.
